10 Countries to Visit in 2019 – Lonely Planet's Inspiration List

Hopefully you have not yet run out of ideas for your travel but in case you have, here is the annual LP's list of the countries to visit in the oncoming year. Look through it and choose your destinations!

To our tasting, the list is interesting indeed. No usual hits like France or Italy – thanks for that, guys! Intead there are several emerging and less known destinations what means there are still roads less travelled waiting to be discovered by you. The Southeast Asia is represented by two countries and both deserve you attention, we swear.

Sri Lanka tops the list – and rightly so. Beaches abound; historical heritage is impressive; pristine landscapes are diverse. And tea! That famous Ceylon tea served up in the highlands of Nuwara Eliya or Ella. We are booking our tickets right away!

The other SEA country on the list is Indonesia. It occupies the lucky 7th line. Do not rule it out of your bucket list if you've already visited Bali – Indonesia has much mooooore to offer! With over 17,000 islands on offer your choice is literally unlimited. From mighty volcanos to climb to seas teeming with marine life to dive into Indonesia is a paradise not lost but found.

Here is the full list of the countries to visit in 2019:
