The Henley Passport Index is a ranking of all the passports of the world according to the number of countries their holders can travel to visa-free.
The Japanese passport now guarantees to its holders visa-free entry to 190 countries of the world – more than any other passport on the planet, including the former leader of the ranking, the Singaporean passport which allows to visit 189 countries without the need to apply for a visa.
Holders of German, French and Korean passports have visa-free access to 188 countries; citizens of Denmark, Finland, Italy, Sweden and Spain – to 187. They are closely followed by Norway, United Kingdom, Austria, Luxembourgh, Netherlands, Portugal and United States (186).
Countries with the least powerful passports are Afghanistan and Iraq (30 countries), Syria and Somalia (32), Pakistan (33), Yemen (37), Palestinian Terrotory, Eritrea and Sudan (39).
