It should connect Aceh with Lampung and stretch in 24 sections including major cities in Sumatra. Trans-Sumatra toll road length is 2,700-kilometers. Now it's completed just in the first four segments between Medan and Binjai in North Sumatra, Pekanbaru and Dumai in Riau, Bakauheni and Bandar Lampung in Lampung and Palembang and Indralaya in South Sumatra.

The Trans-Sumatra road should forever change the life of the island and give it a impetus to the development.
