A few days ago Vietnam and Laos presented their joint project: a road from border maker №790 to the Phoukeua international border gate in Attapeu province (Laos). It was opened on 5 July and costs about 2.35 million dollars. The construction was funded by Vietnam, but both of the countries hope, that it will promote their joint development and further fostering links.

The new road isn’t too long, it’s just 347 meters including concrete bridge and other technical items. Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam said, that it should become a gateway into Vietnam from Road 18B, which connects Vietnam with southern provinces of Laos.
