Royal Floria Putrajaya 2018 Calling All Flower Fans

Royal Floria Putrajaya, a large-scale floral event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, held in Anjung Floria in Precinct Four, is in full swing right now and will last till September, 2. It is the 10th edition of the festival which was held annually since 2007 with 2017 skipped.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the event, this year's theme is '10 Wonders of Floria'. Each year, the festival used to pick out one plant which was the main theme plant of the year. This time all the 9 theme plants of the previous issues of the event are presented to public – they include bougainvilleas, begonias, lilies, hibiscus, orchids, heliconias, roses and chrysanthemum flowers. With more than 400,000 plants on display, Royal Floria is a definite must-be place for all flower fans.

In 2016, Royal Floria welcomed a record number of visitors – one million. This time, it is expected that the number will increase at leat by 50%. The area occupied by the displays is huge and requires a lot of walking. The organisers of the event recommend to allow at least three hours to visit the main areas.

There are 29 international participants from 9 countries. Besides the floral displays, visitors will be able to enjoy orchid competition, try their hand in gardening workshops, appreciate the beauty of miniature gardens and, of course, snack on a variety of delicacies sold from food trucks.
