Airport taxes in Thailand grow up

For the first time in 6 years Thailand’s Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) takes a decision to rise airport taxes at the all 26 airports under its management. If tax hike will be approved, it will be introduced by the end of this year.

For the first time in 6 years Thailand’s Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) takes a decision to rise airport taxes at the all 26 airports under its management. The passengers’ charges will increase from 50THB to 100THB for domestic travelers and from 400THB to 500THB for international.

Changes are presently waiting for approval by the Cabinet. If tax hike will be approved, it will be introduced by the end of this year and would give a result in an extra Bt2 billion in incremental revenue per year.

The Airports of Thailand Pcl (AoT) also assents the DCA’s plan. AoT going to increase tax too at the six airports under its supervision.
