Mango Festival Is Coming to Uttar Pradesh This June

Juicy, sweet, and flavoursome mango will be the king of the day during an extremely popular annual Mango Festival in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh held this June, 17 and 23–24.

This year it will be the 6th edition of the event which proved to be a great success with the visitors. The festival as the name suggests celebrates mango and all things mango and will last three days.
On June, 17, there will be a mango lunch at Orchard Malihabad starting from 10am and going on till 6pm. On June 23-24 the festive farmer's market will take place at Indira Gandhi Pratishthaan where visitors will be able to taste and buy different varieties of mango fruits cultivated throughout the state of Uttar Pradesh and beyond as well as learn about mango-based local specialties.

The programme will also include visiting mango orchards, a choice of cultural mango-centered activities and a special educating seminar at Janeshwar Mishra Park.

Located in the northern part of India, Uttar Pradesh is the most populous state in the whole country. Thanks to its geographic location the state enjoys humid subtropical climate which is the main reason for flourishing agriculture. It is the leading mango producing region in India with almost a quarter of all Indian mangos originating from here.
