The construction of Long Thanh Airport will be costly

The first phase of Long Thanh International Airport project in southern Dong Nai Province of Vietnam will cost US$5.6 billion.

The first phase of Long Thanh International Airport project in southern Dong Nai Province of Vietnam will cost US$5.6 billion. It includes only one runway and a terminal, which will be able to serve around 17 million passengers per year. Around 3,320 houses would be destroyed to make room for the airport.

According to plan, the project will be implemented over the next three years. Initially, the first phase of the project involved the construction of two runways for modern airliners but it takes too much time and investment.
