Double-deck Thai buses safety a concern

Series of major road accidents involving large numbers of casualties led to the decision to phase out the use of double-deck buses in Thailand.

Series of major road accidents involving large numbers of casualties led to the decision to phase out the use of double-deck buses in Thailand. The Ministry of Transport came to the conclusion that they are unstable on twisty roads, or when braking under stress.

The Network of Road Safety also supports this idea as according to its statistic fatalities were the highest on double-deck buses on the Thai roads.
