The number of application per day will be limited to one hundred only, this figure is already inclusive of alltypes of the visas – tourist, business, education, etc.
Business hours for handing in applications and collecting passports remain the same as before, as remains the processing time which is currently 2 bank days, e.g. if you apply on Friday, you get you passport back on Monday.
Applicants who are unable to provide the complete set of the required documents will be refused to enter the consulate section. This mostly concerns those applying for tourist visas and providing all the necessary papers by themselves. Now besides the usual photo, copy of your passport, travel information i.e. confirmed ticketsfor travelling from Thailand and hotel booking or house rental agreement the applicants should show the financial statement to prove their paying capacity.
The announcement also reminds that those who will be found submitting fake documents will be blacklisted and refused the entry to Thailand for a period of 1 year.
The new rules come into effect on Monday, 14.
