Don Mueang Airport celebrates 100 year anniversary

On 8 March the Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok, which operates the most of budget and domestic flights, celebrated 100 years from the first day of its work.

On 8 March the Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok, which operates the most of budget and domestic flights, celebrated 100 years from the first day of its work. Now it is the oldest Airport in Asia region and in Thailand also.

As the Don Mueang director, Chaturongkapon Sodmanee said the Airport has a big plans of development. In nearest future new airline in Thailand Thai Air Asia X and NokScoot will operate flights from the Airport and it will promote the increasinf of total capacity up to 18 million passengers in a year.

It’s very good result for Don Mueang, which was damaged and reopened just in 2012 year.
