Vietnam launches tourist trams

To reduce air pollution and to attract more tourists special tramcars to be launched in Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Quang Binh, the Ministry of Transport said.

To reduce air pollution and to attract more tourists special tramcars to be launched in Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Quang Binh, the Ministry of Transport said. The battery-powered trams will serve the most popular tourist districts. At this moment 621 trams, including 50 in Hanoi and 431 in Thanh Hoa, were approved by the Authorities.

If this project to become successful, the Ministry of Transportation plans to connect more cities to the trams network. Another tourist vehicle project is already working in Hanoi, electric tourist cars are cruising in downtown.
