Indonesian Batik Air expands network

Batik Air owned by Indonesia's Lion Group reported it plans to launch international flights in November or December this year.

Batik Air owned by Indonesia's Lion Group reported it plans to launch international flights in November or December this year. The carrier had started to work in May last year but it operates just domestic flights in Indonesia.

In the second part of the year Batik Air will open its first international route to Singapore as its popularity is growing very fast. The carrier plans to operate flights to the neighboring country’s capital Kuala Lumpur and to Southern China and Western Australia. Batik Air is also going to double its domestic network to 22 destinations including Solo, Palembang and Batam.

China has extended visa-free travel to Poland, Australia, and New Zealand until the end of 2025.
