Duty free shops at Singapore Changi Airport launch festive season sale

DFS Group duty free outlets at Singapore’s Changi Airport are offering festive season discounts to inbound travellers. An additional 10 per cent off the tax free prices for beers, wine and liquor is available for arriving passengers provided they satisfy certain conditions.

A DFS spokesperson confirmed the extra discount was available in all four of the Changi Airport Arrivals halls until the 31 January 2018. DFS regional manager Wilcy Wong noted that passengers would be able to stock up on their supplies of festive season spirit at prices that would not break the bank.

The terms and conditions state that passengers have to use their full duty-free allowance at Changi to qualify for the additional price reduction. 12GO ASIA says this means passengers who have already bought in-flight duty free alcohol will not be able to get the discount.

Anybody who has previously been in, or to, Singapore within the 48-hour period before arrival is ineligible too. Passengers arriving at Changi on flights from Malaysia are also excluded from the promotional deal.
