In spite of opposition leader Sutep Taugsuban said demonstrators will not block Airports of Bangkok during mass protest 13 January, Suvarnabhum and Don Muang Airports already try to prepare for the capital’s shutdown.

The protesters plan to block the main intersections and roads of Bangkok, it means that movement around the city will be extremely difficult. All airlines warn passengers to leave home at least 4 hours prior to departure, they also recommend to use MRT subway, Airport Rail Link, BTS skytrain, Khlong Saen Saep and Chao Phraya river boat canal taxi systems instead of land transport.

Authorities of Suvarnbhum Airport launched 24 hours call-center “1722” and opened Help Center on the 4th floor (Departure Hall). Don Muang Airport’s Authorities promote the increasing of the buses to it and also distribute additional background information in the city for travellers.
