The government of Cambodia has given provisional approval to a plan to build a huge new airport to serve the capital city of Phnom Penh. If it gets built, the facility will be 25kms south of the centre of the city and occupy a 6,400 acre site.

The operator of a new Phuket Airport bus service says it should be up and running by the end of the month. A director of the Phuket City Development Company said trial runs had been pencilled in for the coming week and a deadline of 28 February had been set for the live launch of the service.

Bangkok Airways ups frequency for Bangkok Phu Quoc flights

Bangkok Airways has announced a stopgap increase in its flight frequencies from Bangkok to Phu Quoc. The Thai carrier says it will add one flight a week on the route to the popular Vietnamese holiday isle beginning this week and through to the 24 March.
