Jomtien prepares for 13th annual Top of the Gulf Regatta

The organisers of the Top of The Gulf Regatta have been busy making the final preparations at Jomtien’s Ocean Marina. The 2017 edition of the sailing extravaganza is scheduled to stage in the waters off Na Jomtien Beach between the 4 and 8 May.

The regatta management team have confirmed the attendance of over 250 vessels crewed by 700 sailing enthusiasts from about 25 different countries. Their ages ranges from youngsters to septuagenarians and abilities from novice to the Thai National SEA Games crew and Olympic competitors.

The Top of The Gulf Regatta takes boats on an odyssey of the almost 200 islands which dot the offshore seas of Jomtien and Pattaya. Such is the beauty of the location, the regatta has evolved into one of the most popular events of this genre in Asia.

The sight of high-masted sailboats scudding through the wave-crests is no less enthralling and always draws large crowds of spectators. People heading for Jomtien or Pattaya will find 12GO ASIA offers the best choices for transport.
