Hello Kitty Run to stage in Bangkok on Sunday

The organisers of Bangkok’s Hello Kitty Run have confirmed that the 2017 edition will go ahead this weekend as scheduled. The run will take place on a five-kilometre-long circuit with start and finish points at the Airport Rail Link Station at Makkasan.

Hello Kitty says the run is the most endearing event of this genre on Thailand’s annual calendar and a number of the race kit options have already sold out. They also noted that tickets to run went on sale last December but there were still last minute ones available.

These cost THB1,050 and can be purchased at designated outlets such as the online portal of All Ticket Thailand. The race kits are a treasure trove for Hello Kitty fans and include logoed bags, T-shirts and face stickers. The run is scheduled to start at 06:30 on Sunday 26 February.

Makkasan Station is on the east side of the city and five stops from Suvarnabhumi Airport. Phetchaburi MRT Subway Station is right around the corner and linked into Bangkok’s main urban train network.

Bangkok’s two airports are the busiest in Thailand while the city is the focal point of an extensive national public transportation system. With almost 3,000 different route options in Thailand, there are not too many places 12GO ASIA does not offer ticket reservations services for.
