Passengers give thumbs up to new Klong Saen Saeb canal ferries

Passengers who have given new Bangkok Klong Saen Saeb canal ferry-boats a try have said they are very pleased with them.  Krobkrua Khonsong added two new vessels to its fleet almost two weeks ago. These ply the Pratunam to Wat Sribunruang Pier sector of the central Bangkok canal.

The Thai National Marine Department helped out with designing the two ferries. They feature modern engines designed to reduce noise and noxious exhaust emissions. A central aisle provides easy access to seat rows. The boats are equipped with 150 lifejackets and have a maximum capacity of 120 passengers.

Getting on and off the ferries is easier too as the entrance portal is in the middle. Passengers who responded to questions from reporters travelling on the ferries all said centrally located entrances and exits made them feel safer as there was not so much movement here.

The second sector of the Klong Saen Saeb canal ferry service runs between Pratunam and Panfa Leelard Pier. This pier is fairly close to Khao San Road and the trendy accommodation areas of Banglamphu.

Klong Saen Saeb ferries provide glimpses of the heart and soul of Bangkok and are a convenient means of getting from one side of the city to another. 12GO ASIA offers this same level of convenience when buying tickets for travel to other locations in Thailand and its neighbouring nations.
