Yangon gets ready to host 808 Festival music extravaganza

Next week, music fans and tourists in Yangon will be able to enjoy an exciting festival featuring top modern artistes from the industry. The Myanmar city is the venue for the 808 Music Festival on the weekend of 10 and 11 December.

H-Life and Retox Session are jointly staging the event at the city’s One Entertainment Park in Thingangyun Township. MixMag reports that award-winning DJ Hardwell from the Netherlands will be headlining at the fest and shares top billing with Carnage and Dillon Francis.

Also on the bill are illustrious names like the Bugbears, Mike Williams, Terror Bass and Paper Mache. The 808 is a spin-off of the perennially popular annual Bangkok electronic dance music festival of the same name.

H-Life Entertainment boss Say Kyaw Win said he was proud to be bringing such a high-quality brand-name to Myanmar and at a price that offered great value for money. He added that he hoped the 808 would evolve into as popular an annual event as it had done in Thailand.

808 Music Festival Yangon tickets are available on the website of Myanmar Event Tickets and begin at MMK35,000 (THB950). Flight tickets to Yangon from locations such as Bangkok are one of 12GO ASIA’s rapidly expanding portfolio of ticketing choices.
