A taste of the exotic in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur boasts a whole collection of attractions for tourists and there is never a dull moment when holidaying here. Even a walk around the Malaysian capital reveals a city of contrasts. Pockets of old-style Malay settlements mix nicely with British-colonial era architecture and contemporary edifices such as the Petronas Twin Towers and the KLCC convention centre.

Taking a Petronas Twin Towers tour is a must do activity and the views from the 86th floor are sublime. Nearby, the Aquaria KLCC’s sharks and other eclectic marine species are another major draw. This part of town is renowned for its world class shopping.

Among other wonderful attractions are the historic Sultan Abdul Samad Building, the KL Bird Park and a range of museums with themes including Islamic Arts and the colonial police. Pulsating nightlife is not Kuala Lumpur’s forte, but Bukit Bintang, Chinatown and the occasional nightclub do provide reasonable choices.

Kuala Lumpur is the focal point of Malaysia’s public transportation system and is connected to most parts of the nation by aeroplane, train or bus. 12GO ASIA provides ticketing options from locations right across Southeast Asia. Bangkok, Singapore and Kota Kinabalu are just a few of our choices for you.
