12GO ASIA invites tourists to enjoy UNESCO listed Luang Prabang

The north Laos city of Luang Prabang provides a glimpse of yesteryear. It boasts numerous historic temples and monuments and an unhurried pace reminiscent of decades long past. Xieng Thong Temple and Haw Kham Royal Palace are definitive highlights of the town itself.

A walk up the trail to the viewpoint at the top of Mt Phousi gives panoramic vistas over the town. It is a great place to be to watch sunsets. Within a short distance of Luang Prabang, Pak Ou Caves, elephant ride camps and the Pak Ou Caves are among the attractions. Dining is another major draw. The culinary repertoire ranges from orlam stew and local sausages to noodle soups and French baguettes.

AirAsia is one of 12GO ASIA’s primary partners. We already offer tickets for flights between Bangkok Don Mueang Airport and Luang Prabang Airport. AirAsia has just announced the inauguration of direct flights to Luang Prabang from the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur.

The service is scheduled to begin on 21 November 2016 with one flight a day on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. For passengers wishing to travel directly between the nations and avoid a change of aircraft in Bangkok or Vientiane, this service will be a practical choice with the added bonus of a low price tag.
