Acclaimed British singer Morrissey to perform live in Bangkok

Iconic UK singer-songwriter Morrissey will be performing live in Bangkok next month. The former frontman of the ground-breaking Manchester band The Smiths is scheduled to take the stage at the city’s Moonstar Studio at 20:00 on Tuesday 18 October.

Morrissey typically plays a few crowd-pleasers from the Smiths era, but a typical set list comprises more songs from an almost three-decade long solo career. The audience in Bangkok can reasonably expect to hear Everyday Is Like Sunday, Meat Is Murder and Istanbul.

Since the Smiths burst onto the UK music scene with their self-titled album in the early 1980s, Morrissey has been the driving force behind almost 30 more albums. The Bangkok date is part of a world tour that began in the US and includes gigs at major Asian cities such as Tokyo and Hong Kong. Bangkok is Morrissey’s final performance before heading off to Australia and back to the US.

Tickets for Morrissey live in Bangkok are available online from ThaiTicketMajor and cost THB2,200. Moonstar Studio is located on Ladprao Soi 80 in the eastern Wangthonglarng region of Bangkok. People travelling into Bangkok for the concert can buy their tickets online too. 12GO ASIA provides this convenient service.
