Myanmar opens its airspace for other countries

The most of Myanmar’s aviation agreements were never changed or updated since World War II. It created obstacles to other countries in connecting with Myanmar.

The most of Myanmar’s aviation agreements were never changed or updated since World War II. It created obstacles to other countries in connecting with Myanmar.

A few days ago Myanmar as a member of ASEAN has admitted its “Open Skies Policy”, which should be obligatory for all countries in the community up to 2015 year. Myanmar has updated its aviation agreements with Bangladesh and South Korea, it’s open new possibilities for commercial flights and it will provide the development of domestic aviation.

Now Bangladesh’ and South Korea’ airlines including KAL and Asiana Airlines are able to request traffic rights at various cities rather than just Yangon
