Bangkok Comedy Club books comic Jimmy Carr for extra show

Bangkok’s Comedy Club has added an extra performance to next week’s appearances by leading UK comedian Jimmy Carr. The extra show has been scheduled for 20:00 on the 12 September and, like the two the day before, the venue is the city’s Westin Grande Sukhumvit Hotel.

The Comedy Club has cited unprecedented demand for tickets and said the two prior performances on the 11 September have completely sold out. The club says there are still available seats for the extra performance and its website will be updated as to the status of tickets as and when they are sold.

The Bangkok dates are a part of Carr’s Funny Business global tour. Up to two million people around the world have witnessed the comic deliver hysterical anecdotes and ad lib with his trademark deadpan style.

Newspapers in the UK claim Carr is a comic hero. He hosted the Big Fat Quiz Of The Year and has also appeared in flagship entertainment events including the Royal Variety Performance. The Comedy Club says the comedian’s Bangkok shows provide a rare chance of seeing a humour genius in action.
