Canadian neo punk band Simple Plan to star at Bangkok gig

Canadian band Simple Plan is set to play a gig in Bangkok early next month. The five-piece Montreal based group will be bringing their own peerless fusion of punk-pop to the Moonstar Studio on September 8 as a part of the Taking One for the Team global tour.

The audience are likely to be treated to the band’s hits such as Welcome to My Life and Shut Up plus tracks from the latest and fifth album, Taking One for the Team. The Bangkok gig is a promotion for the album. The tour has already taken Simple Plan to locations including Calgary and Mexico City.

Although Simple Plan has previously supported Avril Lavigne and Travis at Bangkok concerts, this is the group’s first headline slot in the Thai capital. Tickets for the concert went on sale last month and are priced at THB2,800. ThaiTicketMajor is the main agent for tickets.

Moonstar Studio is located on Soi Ladprao 80 and is a little less than three kilometres from Huai Khwang MRT Underground Station. 12GO ASIA is an easy option when buying tickets for travel to the Simple Plan concert or any other event on Bangkok’s eclectic annual calendar.
