CNN names Bangkok and Thailand top destinations for gourmet food

US news network CNN has labelled Bangkok as the top global destination to eat street food. In a just released report, CNN lauded popular concoctions such as  pad Thai fried noodles and hoy tot mussel pancakes as pure heaven for foodies.

CNN researchers evaluated 23 cities in its surveys of the top street food destinations. Thailand also took fourth place in CNN’s table of countries to enjoy top-quality food.

CNN’s editors noted that the fusion of spices and herbs that go into every popular Thai speciality is a delight for the taste buds. The team highlighted popular dishes including chicken and cashew nuts and green curry as must tries.

Recommending dishes from a particular region of Thailand, the editorial staff said Isarn food was delicious. Flagship dishes from the eastern region of Thailand include larb moo (spicy minced pork) and som tam papaya salad.

The chance of sampling gourmet delights is a major draw of modern Thailand. Thai people sometimes travel to recommended restaurants in out-of-the-way locations and buy their tickets from 12GO ASIA.
