Bangkok Victory Monument mini bus centre on the move

A Transport Ministry of Thailand spokesperson says the public mini-bus centre in Bangkok is being moved. Daroon Saengchai told reporters the ministry licensed buses which currently operate from Victory Monument will be relocated to other Bangkok bus terminals.

He carried on by saying the 4,000 mini-buses would be dispersed to Morchit, Ekkamai and Taling Chan stations for a two-week trial beginning 1 October 2016. The ministry will then evaluate how successful the road-test was before deciding whether the move will be made permanent on 25 October.

Mr Saengchai finished off by saying shuttle buses would operate from Victory Monument to the bus stations to provide convenience for travellers. An insider close to the ministry’s senior officials claims the move is designed to alleviate congestion in the locality and also ensure fares are standardised for each destination.

12GO ASIA provides ticket services for mini-bus services from Victory Monument in addition to trains and buses from the other main Bangkok stations. Our fares contain no hidden charges and the price displayed during the reservation process is what you pay.
