Thai tourism bureau designates August as female travellers month

The Tourism Authority of Thailand is all set to initiate a promo campaign targeting female travellers. Women arriving or travelling around in Thailand will be offered priority services, special privileges and exclusive access to elite packages for the whole of August.

The enhanced travel experience will begin at international airports where pink immigration lanes will enable women to bypass any queues. Female only parking zones in the airports’ car parks are another of the campaign’s enticements.

However, the real benefits of the Thailand Women’s Journey 2016 are the discounts available. TAT has partnered with spas, health centres, hotels, hospitals and airlines to provide females with packages to suit their needs at prices that won’t decimate the bank balance.

In a press briefing outlining the packages, TAT says Thailand Women’s Journey has been inaugurated in honour of the 84th birthday of the country’s revered Queen Sirikit on 12 August. TAT Governor Yuthasak Supasorn says the campaign runs from 1 to 31 August and details of all the offers are available from the app Women’s Journey Thailand.
