Pattaya to host Charity Fun Run on Beach Road this weekend

Runners and walkers will be heading to Pattaya Beach Road this Saturday to join the Charity Fun Run. Entrants have a choice of three courses of differing lengths and are taking part in support of charities for women and children based in the eastern Thai seaside resort.

The theme of the event is exercise for health and it is being jointly arranged by Pattaya Council, the Bangkok and Pattaya branches of the YWCA and the Tourism Authority of Thailand. The start and finish points for the run are outside the Central Festival Mall on Beach Road.

The three routes for entrants to follow are 1,500-metres, three kilometres and six kilometres long. The first route will loop around Pattaya Central while the others will follow a circuit up as far as the Walking Street nightlife zone.

The date for advance registration has passed, but people wishing to take part can still register on the day near the start line from 15:00 onwards. Entrants will set off at 17:00. Snacks and drinks will be served from 18:00 and will be followed by live dance and music performances.

Pattaya is around 140kms by road from central Bangkok. Travellers have a choice of minivan, bus or train for the journey. 12GO ASIA is the most convenient choice for tickets to travel.
