Thai tourist police set up Bangkok service kiosk at MBK mall

Thailand’s Tourist Police Bureau has just opened a service centre at the Mah Boon Krong mall in downtown Bangkok. At the official dedication ceremony of the facility earlier this week, officer Surachet Hakpan stated that that it would provide convenience for tourists.

He continued by saying officers manning the box would give tourists directions if asked as well as record details of any crimes or other issues visitors to the Thai capital encountered. The officer continued by saying that the highly visible presence of the centre and its staff would also instil confidence among tourists that police were looking after their best interests.

The MBK Tourist Police Box is a collaboration with MBK mall and is open every day between the hours of 11:00 and 20:30. The centre is easily recognisable as it has a large image of the force’s current logo ‘Smart Smile Serve Safe Secure’ above its service hatches.

MBK mall is in the heart of Bangkok’s prime shopping district of Pathumwan and is just along from the Siam Paragon and CentralWorld centres. MBK is between the BTS Skytrain National Stadium and Siam stations.

12GO ASIA does not sell tickets for the Skytrain or any of Bangkok’s other public transport options. 12GO ASIA specialises in providing a practical reservations service for intercity trains to and from the city’s Hua Lamphong Station as well as long-distance buses to all corners of Thailand.
