Annual fireworks extravaganza to light up Pattaya Beach

The annual Pattaya fireworks extravaganza is all set to light up the skies above Pattaya Bay this weekend. One of the most popular events on Pattaya’s calendar sees fireworks specialists from around the world try to outdo each other with increasingly more elaborate and colourful displays.

The first night of the Pattaya International Firework Festival is Friday 27 November and is a dress rehearsal for Saturday. On Saturday, the fireworks exhibitions from each of the contestants are up to three quarters of an hour long.

Although the fireworks shows do not really begin in earnest until around 20:00 there is plenty to keep attendees occupied beforehand. Talent, traditional dance and beauty-queen shows; live music and the chance of sampling Thailand’s repertoire of tasty snacks are among the delights.

The fireworks festival draws in thousands of visitors. A more comfortable way of enjoying this amazing phenomenon is to dine at one of the many hotel restaurants or eateries which line Beach Road.

Hotels such as the Hilton lay on special festival packages which include gourmet food and free-flow beer and wine. 12GO ASIA provides simplicity when buying bus tickets or arranging private transfers from Bangkok to Pattaya.
