From 26 October the visa exemption pact, signed between Myanmar and Vietnamese Foreign Ministers in New York earlier in this month, enters into force.

According to it Vietnamese residents don’t need a visa to enter Myanmar. Ordinary passport holders just have to provide it valid no less than 6 months and they will be able to stay in Myanmar during 14 days. Now Vietnamese citizens can enter to 9 ASEAN countries without visa.

This is only one step in the great ASEAN program to abolish visa-regime in the all region for its residents.
