Bangkok gets ready for annual Amazing Grand Sale Fair

Thailand’s tourism bureau has set the date and venue for the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale Fair 2015. Wiboon Nimitwanich, a director with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), has announced the massive discount sale will run between 11 and 14 June and the venue is the Queen Sirikit Convention Centre on New Rachadapisek Road.

Event manager Bussaya Prakobthong stated that there would be around 340 stalls at the centre covering the whole gamut of hotels, spas, retail outlets, internet design brands, tour operators and golf courses. The manager noted that businesses represented at the sale would be offering discounts as high as 80 per cent on their products and services.

TAT has been the major supporter of the discount sale since its inception 14 years ago. This year the TAT stand is ready to promote 12 of Thailand’s less visited provinces and these include Chanthaburi, Nakhon Sri Thammarat and Loei.

The sale organisers have booked 10,000-metres² of floor space at the Queen Sirikit Centre. Doors at the centre for the Grand Sale Fair will open from 10:00 to 20:00 for the four days. TAT says that judging by last year’s attendance figures, an estimated 80,000 visitors will be attending.
