Mourinho was seen browsing through products in the mobile telephone section of the eight-storey mall. Vendors said he seemed to be looking to buy accessories for his own device. The shopping jaunt took place just a few hours before he led the Chelsea team out on to the pitch at the city’s Rajamangala Stadium.
Chelsea played a team of Thailand’s all stars at the stadium in the first match of their summer tour. Chelsea’s budding 17-year-old star Dominic Solanke scored the only goal of the match after 17 minutes to give his side victory in the good-natured friendly. Solanke was among a number of younger players selected by Mourinho to play alongside the likes of veterans John Obi Mikel and Petr Cech.
The Premier League’s close season is set to provide a treat for Thai football fans this year. Chelsea stablemate Liverpool are due to play a Thai all-star X1 in Bangkok on 14 July. This will be followed by an exhibition match between Everton and Leicester City on 27 July at Supachalasai Stadium.

Chelsea Football Club’s Jose Mourinho was photographed at one of Bangkok’s most famous shopping malls on Saturday. The manager of the English Premier League side was window shopping at the Mahboonkrong mall in the downtown Siam Square District of the Thai capital.
