Singapore luxury hotelier opens Bangkok premises

Singapore based hotelier Amara has brought its inimitable luxury brand of accommodation to Thailand with the inauguration of a new property in the heart of Bangkok. The Amara Bangkok is located on Surawong Road and is just minutes away on foot from the city’s legendary Patpong entertainment precinct and night-market.

The Amara boasts 250 beautifully appointed chambers and suites finished in contemporary styles with full amenities including wireless internet connectivity. Even wining and dining at the Amara provides a contrast with the clamour of Bangkok’s busy thoroughfares.

In the lobby area, the Barista Café provides a pleasing respite to watch the world pass by while sipping a gourmet coffee. The Element is a Singaporean inspired eatery where diners can sample regional specialities including satay and Hainan chicken. The Amara’s mini-bar service allows guests to order what they want and have it delivered to their rooms, with prices on a par to 7-11’s.

Another unique draw of the Amara Bangkok is a rooftop pool in which bathers can relax and enjoy some of the finest views over the Thai capital. Not all services are available yet, but one guests will soon be able to enjoy are trips by air-conditioned tuktuks to nearby Skytrain stations.
