Batangas Hotels, Guesthouses and Resorts

Because of its close proximity to Metro Manila, Batangas is a popular weekend escape for those who seek a temporary respite from the chaos of the urban life. Whether your game plan involves conquering mountains or skinny dipping under the moonlight, check out our recommendations below for a hassle-free stay in the province.

Budget

The Zillion Builders Pavilion (A. Tanco Road, Balintawak, Lipa City) is a good option for those on a budget. If you're a party of two, you can get a room with a queen sized bed for only PHP1280, just add PHP180 per pax for breakfast. We really like the homey atmosphere of the house and the staff make it even more special. WiFi connection is really good and there's free coffee and water. Best of all, the hotel is located right besides SM Mall with very good access to public transport.

You want somewhere with a pool but not willing to spend a good chunk of your travel budget on accommodation alone? Well, make sure to book a room at Hotel La Corona de Lipa (Km. 84, Laurel Highway, Pilahan, Sabang, Lipa City). A standard double or twin room costs only around PHP2000 including breakfast. The staff are extremely polite and ready to help at a moment's notice. Location is also very convenient, it's right across a major mall for any last minute shopping needs and there's a bus terminal nearby. If there's any room for improvement, it would be the weak WiFi connection and not so many choices for breakfast.

Mid-Range

A deluxe queen room at Batangas Country Club (Bolbok Road, Barangay Santa Rita) is available for around PHP4000, breakfast included. There's a lot to love in this country club, the shuttle service, the huge pool, the game room, modern gym equipment, their friendly and attentive staff. The luscious breakfast is also something to look forward to. There's hot and cold shower, a bathtub, free toiletries, and the room was clean and comfortable when we stayed there.

A nice beachfront property with a lovely view of the sunset, the Coral Beach Club Hotel (Beach Road, Barangay Matabungkay, Lian) is a cosy resort with a great ambiance and a relaxing vibe. You can score a deluxe double occupancy room for approximately PHP3500. The room is really clean and spacious and is equipped with an electric kettle and a refrigerator . WiFi is slow but we didn't really mind since we were busy with various water sports activities such as snorkelling or fishing.

Top End

If you're dreaming of splashing some cash then look no further than Pico Sands Hotel (Pico de Loro Cove, Hamilo Coast, Barangay Papaya, 4231 Nasugbu). Boasting world-class facilities and amenities, each room can accommodate up to 2 people and costs between PHP6600 to PHP11600. We adore everything about this resort, the secluded beach, the swimming pools, the recreation facilities, the staff, the restaurants, the location. We really enjoyed walking up to the beach or following the trails heading towards the hills, taking a dip in the swimming pools, or participating in some water sports activities or indoor games.

If you're into a holistic lifestyle, then stay at The Farm at San Benito (119 Barangay Tipakan, Lipa City). It's certainly not cheap with rates starting from approximately PHP9400 but this health retreat will make sure every penny is worth it. We're trying to get into a healthier lifestyle so staying here has been a great motivation. There are lovely pools and grounds with free-roaming ducks and peacocks and the serenity of the entire place makes it a perfect spot for meditation, relaxation, and just basically unplugging yourself from a toxic lifestyle. We loved the vegan food, the morning yoga, and the spa treatments. We will definitely miss their smoothies, granola cereals, and ginger teas.
