Tagaytay Hotels, Guesthouses and Resorts

Seeing a steady flow of vacationers year round attracted by its colder climate and mountain resort vibe, Tagaytay offers a wide range of accommodations that suit every price points.

From quaint bed and breakfasts to luxurious villas, you will surely be spoilt for choice.

Budget

We like the Mountain Breeze Hostel (730 A Tagaytay-Calamba Rd., Brgy. San Jose) for its character and cosy ambiance. The small lobby is really insta-worthy and seems to be going for a shabby chic concept. The location is quite central and is a few minutes walk from Olivarez Plaza should you need groceries and other items. We didn't have any complaints although there are certainly room for improvement. We wished they had more washrooms and that the WiFi could've been faster. Other than that, solo travellers and backpackers will surely love this place. Their dorm bed costs approximately PHP500 but they also offer family rooms that can accommodate up to 6-7 people for about PHP3,700 per night.

Tagaytay Modern Guesthouse (9030-B Foggy Heights Subd., Emilio Aguinaldo Hwy.) is another one to love at this price point. It's located inside a gated subdivision so the place is quite safe and secure. A few minutes away from Tagaytay Rotonda, there are plenty of establishments and restaurants around. Staff were friendly and we also really liked the living room area. However, cellphone signal is weak inside the room which could be a problem if you like staying connected. They have an 8-bed mixed dorm room for about PHP511 as well as private rooms starting at PHP2,000.

Mid-Range

We absolutely adore Eco Hotel (Lot 7 Emilio Aguinaldo, Silang Junction South) for its eco friendly theme as seen on the wood panels, the wooden doors and furniture, and use of recycled materials. First, the location is right across Ayala Mall so its very convenient. Next, our room was super cosy and comfortable. We loved our bed which was tucked next to a huge window with a view of the lake. It was quite dreamy actually. Yes, the room was small but it was more of a pro than a con for us. White linen and pillows were fresh and they have a rooftop where you can dine while enjoying the scenery. They only serve traditional breakfasts though but there are several restaurants just a short walk away from the property. And oh, they have Happy Hour after 5pm where you can enjoy a complimentary glass of wine! Room rate starts at around PHP3,700.

Tagaytay Country Hotel (Olivarez Plaza, E. Aguinaldo Hi-way) is another good option in this price category. It's an old hotel but still does what it's supposed to. The staff are definitely the hotel's strongest asset, everyone from front desk to security guards were so welcoming! They really made the difference for us. Location is also good being close to public transport, shops, and restaurants. Room rates starts at around PHP3,300 per night.

Top End

Experience luxury like no other at Taal Vista Hotel (Km. 60, Aguinaldo Highway). If you're into contemporary design this may not be the best place for you since the interior leans more towards elegant and classic. However, the hotel simply has the best view of the lake. That alone is worth your money. Plus, their buffet breakfast was to die for. Food was always fresh and delicious. We also enjoyed our morning dips in the pool. Rates range from around PHP5,300 to PHP24,500 plus taxes.

An indulgent stay also awaits you at The Lake Hotel Tagaytay (Km.58 Maharlika East, Aguinaldo Hwy.) We really love that all the facilities are clean and well-maintained although it sucks a bit that you have to go to another building to access the indoor pool and the game room. Other than that, the amenities and customer service are really top notch. Location isn't bad either. Ask for a room with a view. Room rates range from PHP4,700 to PHP6,500 plus taxes.
