Jodhpur is a city where you will not have any problems finding an accommodation according to your preferences. There are lots of possibilities within all budget ranges. Backpackers will easily find very affordable accommodation and those searching luxury and resort accommodation will also have enough options to choose from. Of course, limits may be created by the location desire or during the peak season but you can be sure there are immense providers so the choice is always out there.
Backpackers budget accommodation
There are many accommodation providers to serve backpackers and budget travellers. The best way when searching for hotel in Jodhpur is to set the preferred location and the budget itself. Choose the location according to your itinerary and the mode of travel to and from Jodhpur.
If you wish to walk along and visit the main sights, then we recommend to check the area of the Clock Tower. The atmosphere is very authentic there, it is close to sights, markets and food hubs and it is quite easy to mix with locals.
If you travel by train or by bus, you stay just for short time or you leave late at night and you do not want to spend time in transport then we may advise to see the areas around train station, though our first choice would still be the Clock Tower. The area around the train station is very atmospheric and the best thing about staying there is the vicinity of various food stalls, restaurants and general shops so you can buy all the basic things you may need and also check the lovely popular street foods of Jodhpur or simply get more options to satisfy your tastes and the wallet.
The prices may vary, starting from 500 INR per room, getting higher to what you consider to be still the low budget. Generally, the price for a nice, cosy and comfortable accommodation with good service will be at around 1000 INR per night.
Budget accommodation options normally do not provide too many amenities which are usually limited to bedding, television and basic bathroom supplies that you may even need to ask for. Don't worry though, this is perfectly normal and you just need to understand the Indian pace of getting things ready. Rooms generally come with attached bathrooms, though you can find shared bathrooms in certain places but in fact very rarely; breakfast is not included into the room rate. Rooms may be with or without air conditioning and but all of them have a fan which is supposed to keep you cool during hot summers (but in fact it doesn’t!).
Most of the hotels have free WiFi connection as at present it happens to be one of the musts to have.
Note: if you are travelling as a group then ask for a discount – it is often offered withut any problem, so do not be shy and ask.
Here we list few options to chose from but – believe us! – the possibilities are endless so start searching.

It is easily walkable distance though so call the hotel and ask someone to come and show you the way.
