From 1 November onwards

  • Nationals of 46 countries with full vaccinations are exempted from quarantine and permitted to enter Thailand with travel purpose. The list is as follows:

Travel to Phuket

Starting from 16 August, 2021, the “Phuket Sandbox 7+7 Extension” program allows eligible international travelers to reduce the mandatory stay in Phuket from 14 to 7 days, after which another 7 nights can be spent in Krabi (Ko Phi Phi, Ko Ngai, or Railay), Phang-Nga (Khao Lak or Koh Yao), or Surat Thani (Samui Plus – Koh Samui, Koh Pha-ngan, or Koh Tao). Now you can book hotels, rent a car, find fun activities, as well as other services for your Phuket Sandbox trips at your disposal.

Travel to Trat, Koh Kood, Koh Chang, Koh Mak

Passengers who wish to travel to Trat, Koh Kood, Koh Chang, or visit Koh Mak must have one of these requirements:

  1. have received 2 doses of Pfizer, Moderna, Sinovac, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, or Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before arrival.
    • OR have received Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine as the first dose and AstraZeneca as the second dose at least 14 days before arrival.
    • OR have received 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least 14 days before arrival.
  2. have received a medical certificate of RT-PCR Test or Antigen Rapid Test completed within 72 hours before traveling.

Travel from/to Krabi

The passenger who is traveling from Krabi or willing to stay in Krabi, must have one of these documents as below,

  1. 2 doses (Sinovac or Sinopharm) completed more than 7 days or 1 dose completed more than 14 days for AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson.
  2. A medical certificate of RT-PCR Test or Antigen Rapid Test completed within 72 hrs. before traveling.

Travel to Koh Tao, Koh Phangan, or Koh Samui

The passenger who is willing to stay in Koh Tao, Koh Phangan, or Koh Samui needs to have one of the documents as below,

  1. 2 doses (Sinovac, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, or Moderna) completed more than 7 days.
  2. A medical certificate of RT-PCR Test or Antigen Rapid Test completed within the last 72 hours prior to the arrival.

Travel to Koh Lipe

Passengers who travel to Koh Lipe must prepare at least one of these requirements below:

  1. Get vaccinated 2 doses of Sinovac, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, or Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before traveling.
    • OR get vaccinated with the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine as the first dose and AstraZeneca as the second dose at least 14 days before arrival.
    • OR get vaccinated 1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least 14 days before traveling.
  2. Have recovered from COVID-19 not more than 90 days ago.
  3. Have a medical certificate of RT-PCR Test or Antigen Rapid Test completed within 72 hours before traveling.
  4. Have official documentation to prove they stayed 14 days in quarantine not more than 72 hours before arriving at the island.

For passengers who are under 12 years old must prepare a medical certificate of RT-PCR Test or Antigen Rapid Test completed within 72 hours before traveling.

Travel to Koh Phayam

Passengers who travel to Koh Phayam must prepare at least one of these requirements below:

  1. Get vaccinated with 2 doses of Sinovac, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, or Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before traveling.
    • OR get vaccinated with the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine as the first dose and AstraZeneca as the second dose at least 14 days before arrival.
    • OR get vaccinated 1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least 14 days before traveling.
  2. Have recovered from COVID-19 not more than 90 days ago.
  3. Have a medical certificate of RT-PCR Test or Antigen Rapid Test from a hospital within 72 hours before traveling.

General instructions for all travelers while traveling in Thailand:

  1. Check latest updates about control measures at the destination province or check on important information/province in advance before travelling.
  2. Prepare documents and evidence as specified in the destination province.
    • In the case of documents confirming you have been vaccinated, use the information in the application "Mor Prom".
    • In case of using the test results for COVID-19, check the list of certified laboratories to choose the service from.
  3. At least 3 days prior to the traveling date.
  4. Always follow the D-M-H-T-T-A standard set by the government as follows:
    D : Distancing avoid contact with others
    M : Mask wearing or a mask at all times
    H : Hand washing, Wash your hands often. Provide adequate hand sanitizer service points.
    T : Temperature Check your body temperature before entering the service. to screen users who may be unwell
    T : Testing to detect COVID-19
    A : Application Install and use the application "Thai Chana" and "Mor Chana" before entering and leaving the place every time.
  5. While you are at the destination:
    • Follow orders and cooperate with officials at your destination.
    • Follow the measures prescribed by the province, such as observing one's symptoms throughout the period of stay in that province.

General required documents for traveling to any provinces in Thailand

  • A certificate of vaccination for 2 doses.
  • A certificate with negative results of RT-PCR test (completed within last 72 hrs.)
