The pick up was in time but we had still to wait for another 2 people who where 30 minutes later at the agreed point. We sit still witj AC in the shuttle bus but at the window it was quite hot. Then waited the driver another few minutes and all of us didn’t even know why. Then I ask him but he couldn’t speak any English. He took videos fringes boss but actually I didn’t want it and even he didn’t ask me before. The drive itself was really crazy and often dangerous because of the coming cars, trucks or buses were very close to you during the overtaking maneuver. 😱 Then we arrived almost the Center and very close to Canggu but the driver started first to drop off the girls in Ubud and then wanted to go to Canggu. So in my opinion it makes no sense cuz we had still drive more than 1,5 hours for the entire ride. Me and the rest of us dropped out close to Unuf and took a Gojek to reach our area by ourself. So additional cost. Actually I was 2 hours later in my accommodation and if I would continue with the shuttle even more. So in whole more than 9 hours again. Really uncomfortable.

So this is going to be a pretty long review so that either they improve this service going forwards or to allow other people thinking about using the service in its current state to think twice. This was advertised on 12Go as a 12pm departure from Banuwangi Harbor and a 6pm finish including hotel drop off at our destination in Seminyak. The first part of the journey went fine, the boat ticket was easy to pick up and the journey took about 45 minutes, even leaving about 15 minutes early. When we arrived we were given our driver’s WhatsApp details and he was good at providing updates to his current whereabouts. We waited about 20 minutes for him to arrive but as the boat left earlier than expected, this was not an issue When he arrived, it was a classic minibus full of other people being taken into the centre. This was at 2pm. (Bali is one hour ahead of Banuwangi) Considering the 6pm drop off time and apparent 4 hour journey we’d have expected to leave then. However we were told that we would have to wait for other passengers who’d not arrived on the same boat. We then had to wait an hour in the minivan rather than leaving the people who had clearly not got the boat on time. However giving the benefit of the doubt, we’ll assume that it was an innocent error but worth pointing out. They finally arrived and the driver was then in no apparent rush to leave, taking photos with us for some reason and joking around. We had to ask him to leave before he finally departed. It then became clear much further into the journey that we were not all in fact heading to the same destination of Seminyak. There were some passengers heading for hotels in Ubud, which is where the driver was heading to first. A few of us realised this just before 7pm that we were in fact further away from Seminyak than before and heading to Ubud, bearing in mind we were still at least half an hour away from Ubud and then this would have been another hour and a half at least back to Seminyak. A few of us then asked the driver to stop to let us out and we all ended up paying for taxis to our hotels, as we estimated it would have been 9pm or after that we’d end up getting to our hotels had we stayed on the bus All in all, a really disappointing experience. I think they should really be looking to have a bus take people to a central location with further buses that go to the separate areas of Bali from there, to avoid wasting peoples time like this. There certainly seems to be enough drivers around. In hindsight it would have been far more convenient to simply pay the 10kRd to get the boat across to Bali and got a grab taxi from there
