Dion KThe driver was weirdly touchy (another passenger complained about it too), the bus had to go into the garage halfway to get something checked/fixed, and (but maybe it is always like this) the bus was constantly making a low humming noise, which I can only assume was because the bus driver was not driving in the correct gear (too high) for its speed. Sam BDriver was very impatient - forcing bikes off the road and other cars to slam on their brakes with unnecessary overtakes. Someone came around and asked for each person's hostel address so we assumed we would get dropped at our hotels, but he seemed to just randomly decide when to throw the next person out. The transfer to airport was done by shuttle van. Between changing the transport we waited for 30 minutes for another bus to come. We had enough time before the flight (3 hours), so that was not the problem. Then they dropped us out at domestic or international departure, which was great.
The less convenient experience we had with smell. I guess we had some fruit duria in storage room, which could we smell also on the bus and the bad smell stayed with us even later, because all the luggage had that smell. The fruit was packed in white boxes and also taped, but still.

Robert SAfter reading reviews for bus companies I noticed that Tam Kim Chi had some poor reviews so booked with Duc Duong. We showed up early to a station that was an empty shell of a building (not abnormal for SEA) but we only knew it was the station because we know some Vietnamese. The company name was not found anywhere. When a bus arrived at the scheduled time it was a Kim Chi 265 bus. They did not check tickets when boarding, only asking us our destination. I am not sure if Tam Kim Chi and Kim Chi 265 are related.
I am 6'2 188cm and barely fit which was expected. The bus seats and aisles do not accommodate wide bodies, so be aware.
The driving was immediately too fast, passing other road users at every opportunity. This continued with harsh braking and acceleration. Also, the horn was used nearly every five seconds. It was audible at the back of the bus.
The AC worked very well, the TV's did not work except to display someone else's YouTube video. Chargers worked. The WiFi worked most of the time.
At the restroom stop (no bathroom on board) there were six other buses stopping at the same time for two female toilets causing a large line. The driver then started to leave before a passenger that was not yet on the bus appeared in front of it.
They did provide water and blankets. Curtains worked well and bus was not blasting music or anything. The bus was also clean and relatively new.

Instructions for boarding were clear. However, the arrival time was set at 6:15 and we got in at 4am to a location that was not the one set on the ticket. Sean DWe booked a sleeper VIP for some comfort on our way from Ninh Binh to Hue. The bus was over 1 hour late and when we got to the bus with our big bags they didn't put them under the bus they just threw them on the beds we were sleeping in. Then to top it all off me and my partner were in the front 2 cabins and the driver and his work colleague start smoking. Which is the height of ignorance when you have a bus load of people who are planning to sleep but yet have to inhale smoke from the driver. When I said it to one of the guys they kind of laughed it off and said the driver needed to smoke to stay alert. I think if you have someone who is a driver working for your company they should be told if they want to smoke then stop the bus and have a smoke. We would of preferred the bus stopped 20 times for a smoke then to inhale the smoke for most of the long trip. I nearly lost my shit.
They obviously had the bus full of deliveries too because that's why our bags weren't put under the bus as normal and many stops unloading stuff off. They had stuff stacked up the back blocking the toilets. Look I get every country has their ways and these buses are a bit of a roller coaster in South East Asia but the smoking is the right on other passengers who are trying to sleep. Anyways overall got there on time but I'll try avoid this company the rest of our trip if we can

The problem was with the bus company at Southern Nha Trang bus station. The lady in the kiosk appeared not to know what she was doing. One man was angry at her and yelling, we could not understand but we assume he missed his bus. For our experience I asked twice about our bus and she told us 9 pm, that's not what ticket said. 2 other couples were waiting also for different busses. At 8:45 pm a man can in and approached the lady and kiosk and was upset. He then told us and 2 other couples to follow him to our bases. They seemed to be waiting for us to leave. Soon as we got on we left. So due to the lady in the booth we almost missed our bus. Please let company know about the employee so she knows or cares when the busses leave and where the busses are.

Георги 3We have arrived to Sapa with ~ 2 hours delay compared to expectation. I gues it was because of too many stops along the way. The bus was not very clean, also some old/broken stuff inside. The toilet at Hanoi station was horrible.
All in all we have arrived, just I would not call it VIP Bus.

michael Wwe booked this bus for 10:45. i got a message to get there for 10:15. we arrived at 10:15 to be told the bus will arrive at 11:30. it turned up at 12:00 which was an 1:15 late. the bus service station was poor in communicating with us.

The only negative points were being told a later time to come back after check-in by the local office and then being told via the messenger, i had to be there at the original time and may miss the bus (leading to useless stress since we left at the time indicating by the local office). The second point being the aggressive driving style of the driver. There was constant overtaking with zero visibility leading to many abrupt full stops due to oncoming traffic (which also had to sometimes do a full stop). I saw no other (long-distance) bus drive like this (we overtook many). Other than that, staff was curteous.

Shayne AAVOID AT ALL COSTS. We booked the 8am online, then we’re immediately called and moved to the 9:30am. The point of departure was different though, which they didn’t verbally tell us about, only through WhatsApp which I missed, which meant we had to scramble to find it and get there on time. The staff were rude and pushy getting us on and took all of our snacks off us immediately. The bus itself was very comfortable but there was something wrong with it as alarms and beeps sounded for the whole 6-hours to Lao Cai, with the driver pulling over several times to unsuccessfully inspect. Without any real explanation we were all abruptly herded off the bus to a small, cramped, smelly mini bus for the remaining hour up to Sapa.

It has been the first bus that was actually on time, both departure from Sapa and arrival in Hanoi (out of 3 sleeper buses we have taken during our 2 weeks in Vietnam).
The road is very windy, so there's a lot of turns to bare, you might feel a bit more of that if you sit towards the back of the bus.
