Megan GThere’s no communication whatsoever and no one speaks English, not even a little. Waited a while for the bus to set off, one guy asked for my ticket, took it and threw it away and then later asked again where my ticket was… it’s really disorganised and It made me feel quite uncomfortable. When we stopped for a toilet break, the driver wouldn’t let my partner back on the bus and was really rude waving his hands telling him to go away so he had to wait 10 mins outside the bus until the driver decided to let him back in! Absolutely disgusting behaviour I wouldn’t recommend if you want a stress free trip

The bus was comfortable but had no toilet. We set off late but arrived to Hanoi early! We arrived at a different destination to the one advertised on the booking.

Andy MThe bus arrived to collect us and dropped us in Hue perfectly on time. The seats are not as comfortable as they look in the mini buses, but they do have USB chargers which was great!
The big irritating part with this trip was that about 20 mins from Hue, the bus driver pulled into a random service station and told us we need to change to another minibus to continue the last 20 mins of the journey with no explanation as to why, and then he drove off and we got into the second minibus which brought us to the arrival point in Hue 20 mins later. Very odd and frustrating.

The bed and pod is ok. But the initial experience by these people made us feel like we are not welcomed.
I booked the 10:30 pm bus and since i arrived 30 mins early, they transferred us into a bus which was about to leave. Not sure if this is a good practise.

The staff was stressed and not that friendly and attentive. However, the prices are super fair, the busses were clean, we found some sleep and we arrived safely and in time in Cat Ba.

Iara OViP Bus was actually a VIP bus (it's not uncommon that you book VIP amd get an old bus with tiny seats which would cost a fraction of the VIP). Unfortunately the driver honked even for vietnamese standards way too much (e.g. honking 4 times when one car on the other side of the street is driving normally) which didn't allow any of us to sleep. However, after telling and remining him he honked less. Other than that good driver and service, we arrived 30min before schedule.

Israel Zfor some reason, once in the meeting point… someone told me (just me, not the rest of the passengers) to go with him as he needed to drop me somewhere else in his car. Was a little bit confusing and uncomfortable. So he dropped me off in a petrol station where another bus came to pick me up and I was the only passenger in that bus and they stopped on the road for more people and I was the only foreigner… and they asked me up to 3 times where should they drop me ? at least I arrived to my destination tho !

The only reason why I give 2 instead of 1 star is because of the very good support via whatsapp. I was constantly informed about the delay beforehand & got quick replies when I had questions.

Mona BBus driver/staff was super rude and didn't even respond to polite enquiries and rather ignore you. After 3/4=4 hours of the journey there was the first break. The place was more like a farm than a service station without any facilities, shops or anything. We stopped for 45 minutes because the driver was chatting to his mates. Which resulted in us being too late at our destination.
To call this bus a VIP bus is actually a joke. The seat adjustments were all defect, there was no way to stow even a small bag so that you spend the whole journey with your bag crammed into the already far too narrow cabin. For people over 1.65cm it was impossible to lie stretched out in the cabin anyway... There was no water, the blankets on offer were absolutely disgusting, smelled and stained.

Lex VThe ride was outsourced to Daiichi Travel. We were picked up 15 minutes before the set time, and brought to the Daiichi office where the bus was waiting. We received a goody bag with some water and bread. The tour guide spoke okay English and did his best to give us a pleasant ride. Everyone got dropped off at their hotel/hostel, which was a nice service. The chauffeur drove pleasant without any danger.

Eab AIt was late but super comfy! They stopped at a rest stop half way too, which helped us get a nice meal. The bus station itself isn't great so make sure you stock up before you get on the bus.
The lady at the counter was incredibly grumpy too and quite unhelpful.
The bus was quite late but we still arrived earlier than predicted.
As with every bus driver in south east Asia, they're driving it like they stole it so you'll never have to worry about being late.
The beds themselves were good too, if a little firm! The cabin has good lighting but the LCD screen basically just mirrors the screen of the driver. So, if he's not playing tunes, that LCD doesn't make sense.
The chargers are USB-A so be aware that a USB-C cable won't help.
The view on this route was insanely nice too!
Still worth the money.

It turned out to be a completely different bus company than we booked and they also didn’t know/understand, so maybe it was a mistake on 12go?

Negative was that we left with over one hour delay and that we booked this bus because it says that it will drop you at tam coc. In reality it drops you on tam coc fork where some taxi driver already wait for you and you have no other choice than pay them triple the amount a grab would charge you. Grab is not working here in tam coc.

We were supposed to go to Ho Chi Minh center but somewhere in the outskirts we were woken up by people screaming at us that we had to go out. They were so pushy that we ended up forgetting stuff in the bus because of all the stress. After we were put in a minivan that went to pick up and drop off all kind of things in the city before they finally dropped us off in the center.

Charlene KPositive was the air condition and that the driver stopped in the city center instead of the official end point. This stop was more comfortable for everyone.
Negative: We took 3 Busses, it took us 5h instead of 2:40h. We stopped very often and took friends from the driver with us on the way: Women, children and an old man with a flew. Some passengers had to sit on each other or share a seat because there were less seats than passengers. The passenger door was broken, but one passenger was holding the door to keep it shut during the whole ride.

Karen WThe bus was waiting on time at 9:15 pm at the Central Backpackers Hostel except that the company was Queen Cafe and we didn’t realize we should board until about 10:00 pm when we got a WhatsApp message from TechBus (because I asked) telling us to board. The driver did have our names on a printed list. Bus ride was smooth and quiet, seats comfortable. No curtain partitions or USB ports, but we were sleeping so didn’t mind. Bus had a bathroom, too, which was convenient even though not the cleanest. Arrived in Hanoi an hour late which is not bad. Drop off point was not exactly where our TechBus ticket said, but we were able to get a public bus to go to our lodging easily.
