Ruea Chor Maetapee

The ferry was simple. No luxury at all. There were bunk beds, double beds, and some mattresses on the floor between the bunks. I believe it’s possible to choose which one you want if you check in early. After we arrived, things got a bit confusing. There was supposed to be a van waiting for us, as mentioned on the ticket. We waited for 40 minutes, and in the end, a car took us to a bus stop, and then a bus took us to the airport. And they never really explain anything — they just keep taking you places, and you figure things out along the way. But since we had already used transportation like this all around Thailand, we knew it could be confusing and delayed, so we always planned everything with extra time in case something went wrong. In the end, everything worked out, and we arrived at our destination, which is what matters most.

Would've been great to know where I'd embark and change to the bus.

Not exactly the most comfortable beds or convenient bathroom situation but definitely sufficient for an overnight ferry trip. The whole process went very smoothly and we arrived safely on Koh Tao Pier.

Well the freight (call a ferry) was as close to an Indiana Jones experience as it get!

We booked this travel because it said it arrived the earliest (11:10am). The bus arrived at 12:30am, and I don’t believe it was planned to get there any sooner. So don’t book this tour because it is supposed to be the fastest. The night boat was okay, except for the bathroom that was filthy. The bus was bad, with no toilets inside and no blanket despite a really strong AC. We had pants and sweatshirts and were still freezing, what more can we do !! No information on the voucher whatsoever. We didn’t even know where the boat was going, or where to go to. We had to guess it was Surat Thani and for the rest of the trip guess just hope for the best. 2 stars because we arrived alive I guess.
