Unexpected change to a bus, due to rough sea

Fast and easy!

The ride was good, and only the communication on the pier could have been better. In fact, there was no communication at all.

On time, easy to access and trip went as expected.

Great transfer. Smooth & comfortable. Wish they would’ve been a little more clear about drop off locations but just make sure you’re aware which beach is the closest to your accommodation!

There were only 7 of us at the pier on a sunny day and the person at the desk said it had been cancelled due to bad weather. It wasn’t bad weather at all. We then had a 3 hour bus ride which was awful. It added so much more time to our journey we had originally booked. I think they didn’t want to run a boat that only had 7 people on. That’s what we all paid for

Arrived 50 minutes late. When we initially asked we were told it wasnt at 1, but instead 1:30, despite their own timetable saying 1 as well as the booking. When I queried about this, suddenly the delay was due to the weather being too warm. We were also told during we "didnt have time" to go and get any food and were not given any expected timeframe until the boat suddenly showed up. When we finally got picked up the boat went dangerously fast over massive, choppy waves, with the boat making cracking and snapping noises with the impact on the waves. This apparently didnt phase the captain who refused to slow down. These were the same waves that the same day capsized a boat near Phu Quoc island where 15 people died. We were also sold this as Koh rong to Kampot direct, which ended up being a boat to sihanoukville and a bus for another 4 hours to Kampot (initially told this would take 2-3 hrs). What was supposed to be a 4pm arrival ended up as 5:50pm. If precautions and good communication was used we wouldnt have minded the delay as safety comes first but we were left in the dark and very concerned on the water. Dont waste your time, book with a more reliable, less reckless company

Weather was too bad to travel from Kampot, so we quickly got transferred onto a bus to Sihanoukville and put on a boat from there. Barely any difference in arrival time! Staff were lovely, vehicles comfortable and all round a good journey. Thank you!

The boat ride was great.

The boat was very comfortable but extremely late and kept making multiple stops before ours even though they kept saying it was the next one. I would not try to be anywhere on time if you’re going to or from Koh Rong

Fats and easy way from Kampot to Koh rong sanloem

The boat is quite small and open air (no AC) and it was crowded. 3 people barely fit on one bench seat. We didn’t leave Koh Rong on time, but managed to arrive in Sihanoukville on time. Boat workers assist with luggage loading and unloading.

The weather was bad, so they swapped the speedboat to Kampot from Koh Rong Sanloem to Sihanoukville, and transferred to a bus to get to Kampot. They did not charge extra. It did not take much extra time, despite the bumpy roads. Great service.

It wasnt a direct boat. We had to stop in Koh Toch and take second boat

Very poorly managed. I booked a ticket with a specific time and could only board the third boat which arrived after the first two were filled. That was 90 minutes later, standing in the sun. I almost didn't get on the third as well as the locals pushed their way past everyone to board first, no order, no structure. Very disappointing.

Poor service, booked the 9:30am ferry with allocated seats but they had oversold the ferry massively. They prioritised locals getting on first and the foreigners (who probably paid more for the ticket) all had to wait 2 hours for the next one. Got a drink as compensation lol

Quick professional and great team, transfer was smooth and efficient.

The jetties are so uncomfortable. Wgat can be so hard to build steps of stairs with handrails. So backward.

Neither the forward nor return trip were completely full. For the forward trip I arrived more than 2 hours earlier and was allowed to board an earlier boat. For the return trip my ticket was from a different beach on Koh Rong but it was also okay to just board the next boat from the beach I was on. Thanks for the flexibility!

The trip across was seamless once underway. However, the boat did not leave on time. Staff were efficient and pleasant. The seats were comfortable but the seat numbers booked didn’t mean anything and 6-8 passengers didn’t get seats. Also there was queue jumping which is bad, if you didn’t get a seat.

The pick-up and especially the drop-off location is only revealed AFTER you book. It's very frustrating and unprofessional. The correct info should be mandatory to allow a listing on 12Go.

Ran like clockwork - everything was taken care of. Met at the office in Kampot - bus to the port 5k away. The only thing I would say is get a seat as quickly as possible - there were late travellers so you end up 3 on a bench seat. Took 1.30 minutes to Rumi Pier xxx Many thanks

Easy and fast excellent

Obviously no ticketed seats and a free for all but the luggage was all lifted by the staff with ease and generally we found them to be on time and efficient. Made holiday easy

All good, smooth journey, on time.

We paid for a ticket on a direct speedboat. When we arrived, an hour early, the boat was already full and we were asked to board a much larger and slower boat that did not go to Sok San. After two stops we were asked to change to a second boat which did then eventually arrive at Sok San, an hour after the scheduled arrival time. An email to 12GO customer service got a quick response of "we're looking into it" but I've heard nothing since.

Ferry was almost 1 hour late, I arrived 15 minutes early at the pier as I was told to. I got severely sunburned and it ruined my stay. Nobody communicated with us on the ferry’s expected arrival.

Professional staff, I loved the way they politely marshalled people walking to the front of the queue back to line where the rest of us were waiting.

The service was timely and efficient, although the boat was a little overbooked (3 people squished into a handful of 2 person seats).

Good my favorite company

The time was a straight up lie. We made two stops in between and were 30 minutes late. There was not even a sign on the pier in Sok San beach. The luggage on the first boat wasn't secured and could have hurt someone.

Was pretty chaotic on the pier, just got to hope that it is your boat and you’re on. A bit late as they needed to put the bags on and get people on. Only a small boat over to Koh Rong Sanloem, thankfully only 10 mins to M’Pai Bay as it was very choppy.

Very good and prompt.Would use them again.

The boat was on time, loading took a bit longer, seemed like they’d overbooked but they had another boat next to it for people to get on. Trip took around 50 minutes but only because we stopped at 2 piers before getting to Long Set Beach. Overall good experience though, would deffo recommend

The boat didn’t come to me at 12 and they forget about this trip I want to make a complaint because they ruin my day!

All worked well staff at kiosk by pier were great and told us just when to go and which boat as there was a slight delay

It was never clear which boat was our boat or when it would board. It turned out to be a speedboat with no boarding ramp. We had to climb on board from the dock. I was concerned that we would all be trapped inside in an emergency as it appeared the only exit for 30+ people was the very narrow front entry. I would have preferred an actual ferry boat.

We were at pearl pier shown on the google maps in the pdf, however the boat went to the other pier (the one straight off the beach at pearl resort). So a lot of confusion and it needs clarification. However, I rang the hotline and the guy I spoke to from GTVC was really helpful and got in contact with the boat driver. Ended up being totally fine.

Very smooth & efficient

Transport was very good. However we were told the wrong location to be picked up. So barley made it in time when e realised.

No direction from Koh Rong operator, nearly got on wrong boat when I was rushed onto the pier to the speedboat (it was the wrong one). Very unhelpful staff at the Longset Pier Branch, was more interested in making coffees for themselves. When on the speedboat it was very fast but they dropped passengers off on the wrong pier, it was NOT Rumi pier. When I questioned it they said ‘this is rumi’ when it was most definitely not. Be very cautious as I had to walk even further from my hostel in the blazing heat
