Champa Tourist Bus

Bus started with 1.30 h of delay, after 10 minutes of driving we stopped for another unplanned 0.30 h (driver had to take some rest). So a total planned drive for 2.30 h went acutely to a drive of around 4.30 h (+ don't forget the extra 30 minutes waiting for the boarding process 😀). Bad communication and absolut no comfort. The bus was stinky and overloaded. Not worth the money.

Broken seats, we couldn’t lean back for 2 and a half hours unless we wanted to crush the people sitting behind us. No air con and the road is BAD. Also the driving - not super safe. Hold tight!

We were in 4 different busses. The departure was on time but the arrival was 3 hours delayed. Then we got dropped off at the wrong station and no help to get.

Everything went

Late, slow and cramped. Van was different from the company from whom we bought our tickets and so journey ended late and in the wrong location

The driver didn’t speak a word of English. The journey was estimated to be 3/4 hours so me and my gf expected a stop or 2 on the way. When we needed a break I requested to the driver but not responding then we went past 3 toilets so I needed to get google translate out then he laughs and had to wait another 30 mins to get to a toilet. Only to realise he stopped at a place he could get a free meal from and couldn’t stop for the passengers who needed a break out of the van or go to the toilet.

Champa Tours is such a not serious company, I would definitely recommend to AVOID THEM! We had a booking at 8:30am to go to Sihanoukville from Kampot. Turned out that we were the only customers. The manager didn't want to bother to send a bus. So when we arrived at 8:am, he told us to wait until 10:30am for the next bus, pretending that it was "being repaired". He should have sent a text the day before to ask, or cancelled and paid back, or found a solution with another bus company. First, it is bad management of their fleet, second, I don't like being lied to. Also we had a ferry booking to the islands and couldn't wait that much. Anyways, please avoid this company. PS: the meeting point on 12go and on the pdf that you receive are not up to date. That even, they can't do properly.

Please take the train. The road is in a very bad condition. It took 3 hours to get to Sihanoukville. The driver was real good.

The trip takes around 3 hours longer than advertised. The (sleeper) bus we were in for the majority of the journey was comfortable though and we stopped for dinner. Gets you from A to B but it’s not the best.

No indication of the exact drop-off. Also not the bus we picked, they put us in various small and big busses. We arrived 3 hours later than promised.

Champa Tourist Bus ran a great service but the road between Sihanoukville and Kampot is disgraceful. The local government ought to be ashamed of themselves for leaving it in that condition. There is no proper surface so you bounce along on deep, rocky potholes for about 2 and a half hours. The driver did his best with the conditions and left on time. I feel sorry for locals who have to use this road.

Do not expect to travel with one bus the whole trip. We had to change the van/bus four times. Everything worked out but we arrived three hours late. We went 2 1/2 hours on the bumpy route to kampot and crossed the border in Prek Chak. (From: Sihanoukville To: Ho Chi Minh)

Avant d'acheter les billets, j'avais lu les commentaires qui m'avaient fait très peur. Pour nous tout c'est très bien passé. Nous avons fait Sihanoukville, My Tho. Donc long trajet. Comme partout en Asie, tu sais quand tu pars, mais pas quand, ni comment tu arrives. Il faut juste se laisser porter... Nous avons fait plusieurs changements. Ils sont bien organisés. Nous avons d'abord pris un mini bus (3h), l'air conditionné marché bien, il était vieillot mais pas inconfortable. Puis nous avons attendu 1h30 à kampot pour prendre un van (50 minutes) qui nous a emmené jusqu'à la frontière Vietnamienne. Ensuite de l'autre côté nous avons attendu 20/30 minutes et un taxi privée est venu nous chercher pour nous déposer à la station des bus (15 minutes de trajet) nous avons attendu de nouveau 1h, pour prendre un bus (6h) avec des couchettes (wifi et couverture à bord, siège confortable, position allongée) puis à 00h un autre taxi nous à récupéré sur la route pour nous déposer à notre hôtel dans la ville de My Tho. Nous n'avons rien payé en plus. Point négatif : l'heure d'arrivée était prévue à 19h30. Mais toutes les autres compagnies annonçaient l'heure d'arrivée à 00h donc nous nous étions préparé à arriver tard.
