The ferry was delayed and very little information was given, we were then told to get on another ferry 1 hour later but that took twice as long! We had a flight to catch on the mainland and had given ourselves plenty of time (luckily) we got to surat thani almost 3hrs later than planned. The boat was very old and didn't smell great, id advise spending the extra money and catching the catamaran

The ferry was late and broken. It took twice as long long time as it should and it was on top of that 1 hour late. Otherwise it was stabile and good.

Ferry was late. The inside seating area smelt like nothing I have ever smelt before, so I had to spend the whole ferry ride outside on the top deck.
