Sapa Express

It was stated that the journey would end at the market. In fact, during the journey, it was announced that the final stop was the Sapa Express Office, which is located somewhere else. However, I did not understand from the announcement on the bus that the final destination had been changed to a different stop. How was I supposed to know that the Sapa Express Office is located somewhere else? The original destination was Hang Da Market, and that is where I expected the journey to end.

Driver was awesome, got a flat tyre and he pushed on changing it like a legend to keep us moving.

Excellent company. They called me before the trip, speak good English. Bus was comfortable and most of all arrived on time. Breaks were announced clearly and spaced nicely throughout the trip. First travel with absolutely no problems.

More than my expectation

The bus was comfortable and we reached the destination on time. But once I booked the bus, the bus operator messaged me in Whatsapp saying buses are full and asked me to take limousine instead. I refused and asked them to refund the money. In an hour , they said we have bus tickets since some other people canceled the tickets. That doesn't sound genuine to me, but all other bus service are good

Driver picked us up from the hotel and dropped us at the agreed drop off. In my opinion, he had good and safe driving style in the mountains. But on the straight highway, still safe, somehow he couldn’t keep his arms still, so the vehicle waa going left and right within driving lane all the time, which made me car sick.

Price and service from office/driver were very good. We were taxied directly to the hotels. Unfortunately bus came late, wifi did not work most of the time, 3 stops in malls are at least one too much: - 0,5 Star.

Well organized, we even arrived early. The bus was clean and very comfortable, with plenty of legroom.

So the bus trip itself was fine - bus was comfortable and very clean, trip was smooth and a couple of stops included to use the toilet/option to get a bite to eat. However the communication regarding pick up times were conflicting - I received a WhatsApp a couple of days before stating pick up was 0700-0730. The night before I received an email stating pick up was 06:10-06:40 and to be ready in the hotel lobby. I asked for clarification but didn’t get any, so I was ready in hotel lobby at 6:10am as instructed. I didn’t get picked up until 8:25am! So I was waiting for over 2 hours and had to message to make sure in was still being picked up. I was lucky my hotel were kind and have me tea and snacks while I was waiting, because they felt bad for my situation.

We took the cabin bus, it was comfortable, clean and the driver was driving safely. We arrived and left on time. Charging plugs and wifi were working. I have nothing negative to say about it! Everything went well and I would take this bus again.

Perfect, we arrived at sapa at 4:00am and could sleep in the bus till 6:00am so it was cool:)

Sleeping was not possible while driving, the driver did think he’s Senna and just raced up to Sapa as fast as possible. The bus looked fancy tho, but was not comfortable

I recommend Sapa Express for the trip Hanoi->Sapa. The staff is really kind and professional, the driver is perfect and the seat are extremely confortable (ajustable for the legs too)! We were on time and fresh for the next adventure!

Very loud

We took the morning VIP 28 bus from Hanoi. Very clean and comfortable bus with a great guide Max who explained everything - when we would stop, how much the bathrooms cost, etc. The seats had great leg room (we’re both tall) and reclined a lot without disturbing the people behind us. Highly recommend this bus company. They even picked us up at our hotel upon request.

FOR YOUR OWN BENEFIT, DON’T EVER TRAVEL WITH THIS COMPANY. Apparently Sapa Ethnic Express is the only agency that can make the Sapa-Ha Long trip, and maybe that’s the reason why they treated us like dogs. The problem started when we arrived at the pickup point. There was a man sitting inside the location who didn’t ask us anything. He just told us to wait there. Then a woman came who seemed rushed and nervous. She rudely told us that the bus in front of us was ours. When we got on the bus, a staff member started hitting my backpack. I thought he was trying to tell me something, but when I asked what he wanted, he shouted at me rudely, indicating that I had to go to the back of the bus, where the spaces were very cramped, even though there were more spacious beds in front that we were not allowed to use. The space on the bus was ridiculously narrow, and I barely fit. The staff shouted at the other foreign passengers as if we were animals. The bus stopped about five times to load and unload packages in the middle of nowhere, and with each stop, they turned on the lights, waking us up every time. During the 7-hour journey, we only made one stop to rest and use the bathroom, and they didn’t even inform anyone that we had stopped. After 7 hours, they stopped, woke us up by hitting us, and rudely kicked us out of the bus, making us get into a van that would take us to Ha Long. People were asking what was happening, and they looked at us with contempt, shouting at us as if we were supposed to know that we had to change vehicles. The man in the van was no more polite than the bus staff. He put all the girls' luggage inside the van but made the guys load their own luggage. Finally, we arrived in Ha Long, exhausted from not being able to sleep all night. A total disaster. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

Pontual and spoke very good English. All was perfect but unfortunately we suffer a car accident. A motorcycle smashed the bus front window and an ambulance had to be called for the motorcyclist. The support to get a new bus was smooth but the whole experience was a bit overwhelming.

Perfectly fine. Really comfortable reclining seats. Great way to get to Sapa. Staff were very helpful and friendly, ensuring everyone found the bus easily.

Bus was on time, everything went well. There are covers on the bus in case you find the AC too strong. We had two bathroom breaks, one 30 minutes (to eat) and another 10 to 15 minutes break. Just expect some locals to get on board sometimes and be quite loud talking with the driver.

It was a great ride. English speaking conductor, very comfortable seats, water was provided. There were bathroom and lunch breaks announced clearly and we got to Sapa without any hassle. Perfect!

clean bus, friendly staff, they will stop every 2 hour, so you can go to rest room or buy food , but a little bit smelly. you will get a bottle of water and blanket, best sleeper bus i ever tried

The bus was on time and the driver and co-driver were both very nice, although you need to work on the behaviour and manners of the person who manages the phone calls to customers. They get very irritating. Rest all was fabulous. Strongly recommend it to all travellers.

Bus was very comfortable, staff was exceptionally helpful

These guys are running a different service to everyone else. The coach was super comfy, with 3 seats in a row, and a tour guide with fluent English explained all the stops to us and helped with any issues. Can't recommend enough.

We took the Sa Pa Express in both directions from/to Hanoi. Both guides and drivers were excellent. The bus was spacious and comfy. Definitely the best bus experience of our Vietnam trip. On the return trip we hit a heavy storm with lots of car drivers pulling over due to the conditions. Our driver continued safely and got us back on schedule despite the chaos on the roads.

Good seats with a lot of legroom. The staff was very informative, and helped us with the transport from saps to our hotel. We also got a bottle of water on the bus. We had to stops were we could buy food, and go to the toilet.

Feels like the operator is rushing everyone to do everything quickly.
