The bus ride was really good! We left on time, just about 5 minutes later, but it was okay. The bus was nice, each seat had water, snacks, and a blanket. We even had our own screen to watch movies. Most of the movies were in Thai, but that was fine. The funny part was the toilets, they were tiny! If you're big, it might be a problem. And there was a hole beside the toilet where people passing by could see you! But when you gotta go, you gotta go, haha! We were happy that halfway through, we stopped for dinner, which was included in the ticket. The food was good, and the toilets were clean. You could also buy snacks. The drive was supposed to be 10 hours, but we ended up arriving quite late, around 11 hours and 30 minutes. Overall, it was a good service, and we were glad we tried these buses.

There was no food, even if it was a VIP trip, just a bottle of water and biscuits.
The bus arrived more than 2 hours earlier, in the middle of the night, and make us going down really quickly. When I went out from the bus my luggage was already thrown in the middle of the street.

Fueron 10 hs de viaje pero bastante cómodos, con mi pareja somos altos y la verdad que tener espacio para estirar las piernas ya es un punto a favor. Apenas nos sentamos, teníamos una cajita con un snack, un dulce y un tissue húmedo, y botella de agua. Cerca de la medianoche paramos a comer y el plato de comida abundante y muy rico, estaba incluido en el ticket. El horario de llegada era 4.30 am pero llegamos una hora más tarde, lo cual fue mucho mejor para nosotros. Asiento cómodo, tiene más espacio para piernas y se reclina mucho más que el del avión.

Viaggio Bangkok-Chang Mai sedili larghi, comodi e reclinabili c'è la possibilità (fondamentale) di ricaricare lo smartphone tramite cavetto usb. Siamo arrivati a Chiang Mai alle 07:00 anziché le 07:45.
Consigliatissimo. Suggerimento Potrebbero pulire meglio i sedili.

Didn’t have working charger ports so make sure you have portables. Did stop at service to go to toilet at 12:30 so good for that and you could get food if you wanted

Took the night bus to Chiang Mai, since the sleeper -train was already fully booked. Was a bit sceptical at first if everything would go well, but it did. The booking via 12Go is straightforward and easy. Booked in the afternoon before going. Once you realise where to get the ticket at the bus terminal very easy to handle. Few words of advice: despite a lot of tourists and backpackers using the bus transit, nobody from the staff speaks a single word of english. They'll still help you out and point you in the right direction. Also, the bus makes a stop halfway at around 2 am. They'll switch on the bright light, so you will definitely wake up if you're sleeping - what's up with that? Bus is fairly comfortable, seats recline so you can get some shuteye. Imagine Economy plane with more footspace. Toilets are in the back, as well as an extremely bright emergency exit sign. People will pass there constantly, so maybe try to get a seat in the front, not at the back. Was also pleasantly surprised how punctual the bus was. We set off around 5 mins after schedule and arrived on time at 6.50 am in Chiang Mai. All in all a very valid travel option, but I'd still go for the sleeper train in the future, if I manage to get short term tickets.

One of the most comfortable night buses trip! In time, basic meals and snacks, but it's nice anyway, plenty of space for legs, seats recline very well that it gets really comfortable to sleep, blankets are provided

Trip was great and very easy. Make sure that you leave plenty of time when collecting tickets as the ticket booth is not the easiest to find. (inside and upstairs!) The journey was easy and fine, the food in the middle of the journey was good. My partner and I slept most of the trip so the seats must have been comfy enough!

Fine bus drive, staff were friendly and we were on time. Service of water and snack, stop 1 time 20 mins was good. toilet was in the bus. Chairs went back so you can ‘lay down’ a bit. After a couple of hours the toilet smelled bad like pee but could be exoected

Reclinable seats made the trip very comfortable. The ticket includes dinner voucher and snack. We had the back seats near to the toilet, we felt smell half of the trip. Bus stopped every town, one hour behind in schedule.

Comfortable bus and ride, and courteous staff. I almost missed the bus though, because I was waiting for it to go to the assigned bay and it never did; that bay was partially blocked by another bus and my bus was waiting somewhere else. It was only because I asked an agent that I found this out.

Es hat alles gut geklappt. Ich habe den Bus gefunden und mein Platz wurde mir gezeigt. Es wurde auch erwähnt, dass wir einen Stopp einlegen, aber nicht, dass wir mit dem Ticket dort ein Essen holen dürfen, das wurde uns irgendwie auf thailändisch gesagt.
Es gab eine Decke, Wasser und ein Snack noch am Platz. Die Decke wird auch benötigt bei der Klimaeinstellung. Es war frisch im Bus.
Wir sind eine Stunde eher angekommen.

Very comfortable trip, good A/C which you can just flip closed if you do not want it blowing down on you. Would recommend taking a jumper though if you have one, if other peoples A/C is on you may feel a little chill. Cute little snack box, water and blanket provided, we didn’t fancy food so didn’t have the free meal provided. Overall I would use this service again! Value for money, on time and comfortable! 😊

The bus was on time and I believe it got to Chiangmai earlier than expected. Lunch was a waste of time because they serve meat which I don't eat. This is 2024 people should know they need more food options. The AC was on the whole time and cold the whole way.

The bus itself is ok, nothing fancy but a comfy night ride. A toilet is a downside, in our ride, there were some clothes and garbage lying in front of door to the toilet, very odd.
I don't know what happened to this particular ride but the overall experience wasn't as good as expected in VIP bus. First, there was no steward on board that could provide any service and support to people. The toilet was locked and there were several people on a bus who needed to use a bathroom - we had no info on stops and didn't know what to do. We couldn't communicate with a driver as "call service" option on the tablet didn't work. The driver is separated from the rest of the bus so even if we tried to knock the door to ask for a bathroom break, he didn't hear us. Even if it was ] very inconvenient for a bathroom, just imagine if someone needs help or there is any medical emergency.
From the comments section here I understood there supposed to be a break to eat something - it wasn't the case. We received some cookies in the very beginning but there was no water available (!).

The bus was a bit cold and delayed. The seats were comfortable and had seatbelts. One of the USB charging slots were broken and the bus stop we stopped in had nothing to offer. Besides that the ride was comfortable and enjoyable.

The seats were comfy and could recline pretty far. Kind of good for sleeping.
Times flies by!
The TVs had fun games like angry birds. Didn’t try the movies since I downloaded some on Netflix. If you want to try them, bring headphones with AUX cable.
Snacks, a bottle of water and a blanket were provided.
The only downside was the toilet! You really only want to use it if you have to pee.
But we made one stop half way through to use the bathroom. At that location we also got a meal for free and could buy some more snacks!
I found it better than the night train!
Pro tip: book a hotel at the destination with 24h reception. So when you arrive in Chiang Mai for example at 3am you can check in and sleep.

It was easy to locate the bus at the station, there were packaged blankets on every seat. Before starting our ride, the host gave us snacks and water, you don't need to buy snacks before the ride. We had a 20 minute break and since we've read the comments we got our free meal there.
The bus was not that cold, you can close the AC from the controler, the seats were comfy as well.

Die Fahrt an sich war angenehm, wir sind etwa eine Stunde später angekommen als ursprünglich geplant. Leider war die Toilette eine absolute Katastrophe. Die sitze konnte man in eine liege Position verstellen, wir haben ein Getränk, Snacks und eine Decke gestellt bekommen. Die Decke war mehr als Notwendig denn die Klimaanlage in dem Bus war gefühlt auf 0 grad gestellt, schlimmer war das dass Kondenswasser von der Klimaanlage ständig auf meinen Kopf getropft ist, während ich an meinem Fensterplatz geschlafen habe. Alles in allem war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis aber vollkommen okay.

Unkomplizierte Buchung, pünktliche Abfahrt und nur geringe Verspätung, bei 10 h Fahrt aber völlig legitim. Es gab einen WC-Halt und Snacks sowie Wasser. Leider werden die Informationen nicht uf english übersetzt. Können die Busfahrt empfehlen :)

Everything was very fine. Bangkok northern bus terminal is very big, make me scare a bit, but every people who work here was very very nice and helpful. During the trip everything was fine and everybody being very nice and professional.

Seat really comfy, they also give you complimentary water and snacks. During the night (around 2 am) there's a stop where you can go to the toilet, and eat (for free) in a cantine where you can also have juice or milk (soy milk available).
Reading the reviews I was expecting to arrive earlier, but luckily we were perfect on time (7.30 at Chiang Rai bus station).
