The Kansai Thru Pass offers unlimited travel on subways and private railways across the Kansai region, making it easy to explore without purchasing individual tickets.
Kansai Thru Pass Coverage
🚉The pass is valid for unlimited rides on subways and private railways in Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara, Wakayama, and Mount Koya. It does not cover JR lines, Keifuku Electric Railway, airport limousine buses, or reserved seat buses. A separate ticket is required for express or reserved-seat trains on the Nankai, Kintetsu, Semboku Rapid, and Keihan lines.
How to Use the Kansai Thru Pass?
- The pass activates on the first day of use and remains valid for two or three selected days within 30 days of purchase.
- It is valid from the first train to the last train of the day, not for 24-hour periods.
- Simply insert or tap the pass at the ticket gates for entry.

- 🌆 Osaka: Dotonbori, Osaka Castle, Universal Studios Japan.
- ⛩️ Kyoto: Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove.
- 🌊 Kobe: Harborland, Nunobiki Herb Garden, Kobe beef dining.
- 🦌 Nara: Nara Park, Todai-ji Temple, Kasuga Taisha.

Important Information
📅 The pass must be used by March 31, 2025.
🚫 Not valid on JR lines or buses. Some routes may be excluded.
💺 Express, special coach, and reserved seats require an additional ticket.
